Essential Job Functions

  • Provide log interpretations and/or analysis for internal and external clients.

  • Process cased hole logs (caliper, MTD, noise, spinners) in timely and accurate manner

Role and Responsibilities

  • Provide technical input and analysis of cased hole logs

  • Write interpretation reports.

  • Responsible for data gathering and data analyzing.

  • Provide efficient reports and analysis summaries.

  • Maintain open communication with clients during and after operations.

  • Assist the Business Development, R&D, and Operations teams.

  • Support client expectations and determine methods of delivery.

  • Responsible for file management of final deliverables and internal archival.

  • Responsible for quality controlling log data.

  • Perform extensive log analysis by recognizing tool responses and correctly identifying well phenomenon.

  • Assist with technical diagnosis and technical support in maintenance troubleshooting.

  • Accurately understand well schematics. 

  • Available to perform duties on short notice, day or night and/or weekends.

  • Maintain knowledge of the latest technological changes and operating procedures of company equipment, tools, and practices.

  • Continuously fully comply with all regulatory related requirements.

  • Maintain excellent housekeeping standards.

  • Committed to a high standard of safety and willing to comply with all safety laws and company safety policies and guidelines.  

  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Skills and Experiences

  • Previous cased hole wireline log analysis experience preferred, ideally for corrosion evaluation services, with previous field data acquisition experience desirable.

  • Knowledge in well logging data

  • Basic knowledge of open hole logs.

  • Ability to meet highest attendance requirements.

  • Knowledge and ability to use various software programs including Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook, at proficient levels.

  • Ability to communicate effectively, both written and verbally.

  • Ability to work independently and to handle multiple assignments on a timely basis with a high degree of accuracy.

Qualifications and Education Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Petroleum Geology, Geophysics, Engineering or related field preferred or equivalent work experience

  • Two (2 )years analytical/interpretative skills and expertise in production logging, well integrity, wireline simulation, well intervention design, planning and operations.

  • 2 years’ experience in cased hole log interpretation and analysis (multi caliper and production logs) preferred

  • 2 years’ experience well logging data processing preferred.

Physical Demands

  • Could involve some lifting, up to 20 lbs.

  • May require travel.
